“Interreligious Dialogue as a Method of Understanding: the Case of Raimundo Panikkar,” By Abraham Velez de Cea

DSC_0243The dialogical method of understanding developed here is indebted to Raimundo Panikkar, a pioneer of inter-religious dialogue and comparative theology. Specifically, the method draws on Panikkar’s cross-cultural hermeneutics, which provides critical tools that only come from the practice of dialogue. The tools this method incorporates are called by Panikkar the “imparative attitude” and “dialogical dialogue.”
